Gallery of calligraphic pieces

This gallery shows some of the pieces of work, done mostly as  commissions, that I’ve completed over the last few years. The five panels documenting   Irish saints hang in Our Lady’s School, Templeogue, and give an account of the lives of the saints after whom the five Houses of the school are named. The four panels — the same prayer in four languages– were made to be hung at the memorial mass of  a great and irreplaceable music teacher, Patricia Murphy, who taught in Our Lady’s School for over 30 years. The two pieces for Carlow Town Council are done on calfskin vellum, the best and most traditional substrate for calligraphy.
